Compressor Station LDAR Services

Compressor stations are some of the leakiest assets in the oil-and-gas chain — rod packing on reciprocating units, seals on centrifugal units, and dense valve and connector counts. The 2024 rules put recurring fugitive-emissions surveys on every station. AIM™ EH&S runs LDAR built for compressor stations.

Which Rules Apply at Compressor Stations

Compressor stations fall under NSPS Subpart OOOOa and the 2024 OOOOb/OOOOc rules, which require recurring optical gas imaging (OGI) fugitive-emissions surveys, plus NESHAP Subpart HH for reciprocating and centrifugal compressor leaks. Reciprocating-compressor rod packing and centrifugal wet or dry seals carry their own monitoring and replacement requirements. We read the applicable subpart for your units.

What We Do

OGI fugitive-emissions surveys on the required frequency, Method 21 component monitoring, reciprocating-compressor rod-packing tracking, centrifugal seal monitoring, repair tracking against the regulatory clock, and audit-grade recordkeeping — for a single station or a fleet.

Why Operators Call Us

We know compressor stations cold — where they leak, what the rule requires, and how to document it so it survives an audit. Calibrated instruments, defensible data.

Compressor Station LDAR FAQs

How often are OGI surveys required at compressor stations?

Under NSPS OOOOa/OOOOb, compressor stations require recurring OGI fugitive-emissions surveys — frequency depends on the station type and the applicable subpart. We set the schedule to your units.

Do you handle reciprocating-compressor rod packing?

Yes — rod packing carries its own monitoring and replacement obligations, and we track it alongside component LDAR.

What about centrifugal compressor seals?

Wet-seal and dry-seal centrifugal compressors have specific leak requirements under NESHAP Subpart HH; we monitor and document them.

Which regions do you cover?

Nationwide, including the Permian and Eagle Ford basins and the Gulf Coast. We also cover midstream gathering and processing. See all regions we serve.
