Midstream LDAR Services

Midstream assets — gathering and boosting stations, gas processing plants, and transmission lines — carry thousands of leak-prone components spread across remote sites. The 2024 oil-and-gas rules tightened fugitive-emissions monitoring across all of it. AIM™ EH&S runs Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) for midstream operators, with crews who cover ground and document every component.

Which Rules Apply to Midstream

Midstream equipment leaks fall under NSPS Subparts OOOO, OOOOa, and the 2024 OOOOb/OOOOc rules for crude oil and natural gas facilities — which require recurring optical gas imaging (OGI) surveys at gathering and boosting stations and compressor stations. Onshore natural gas processing plants also fall under NSPS Subpart KKK for equipment leaks, plus NESHAP Subparts HH and HHH. We read the applicable subpart for each site instead of guessing.

What We Do

OGI fugitive-emissions surveys on the required frequency, Method 21 component monitoring where it applies, repair tracking against the regulatory clock, audit-grade recordkeeping, and annual or semiannual report preparation — from a single station to a full midstream footprint. We build programs around remote, spread-out assets.

Why Midstream Operators Call Us

We cover the miles, calibrate every instrument, and produce defensible data the first time. No padded headcounts, no missed survey windows.

Midstream LDAR FAQs

What changed under the 2024 OOOOb/OOOOc rules?

NSPS OOOOb (new sources) and Emissions Guidelines OOOOc (existing sources, via state plans) expanded fugitive-emissions monitoring — recurring OGI surveys at well sites, gathering and boosting stations, and compressor stations, with frequencies tied to site type and equipment. Many sites that were previously unmonitored now need a program. See our LDAR compliance overview.

Do you cover natural gas processing plants?

Yes — onshore gas processing plants fall under NSPS Subpart KKK for equipment leaks (Method 21), and we run full component LDAR programs at them.

Can you cover remote, spread-out sites?

That is the midstream norm. We schedule OGI and Method 21 surveys across gathering systems and compressor stations so every site hits its window.

Which regions do you cover?

Nationwide, with deep coverage of the major basins — including the Permian, Eagle Ford, and Delaware basins. See all regions we serve.
