Mold Inspection

A professional evaluation of a property to identify visible mold growth, moisture intrusion, and conditions that may support mold contamination.

Mold Remediation

The process of removing, cleaning, and restoring areas affected by mold growth using industry-standard containment and cleaning procedures.

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)

Indoor Air Quality refers to the condition of air inside buildings, especially as it relates to occupant health and comfort. IAQ testing identifies contaminants such as mold spores, VOCs, and allergens.

Air Sampling

A testing method used to measure airborne mold spores and other contaminants. Samples are analyzed in a laboratory to determine concentration and species.

Surface Sampling

Collection of samples from walls, floors, or other materials to confirm the presence of mold growth and identify mold types.

Spore Trap Sampling

A common air testing method that captures airborne mold spores for laboratory analysis.

Moisture Intrusion

Water penetration into building materials due to leaks, flooding, or humidity issues. Moisture is the primary cause of mold growth.

Relative Humidity

The amount of moisture in the air compared to the maximum amount the air can hold. High humidity levels increase mold risk.

HVAC Contamination

Mold or microbial growth within heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems that may spread spores throughout a building.

Clearance Testing

Post-remediation air testing performed to verify that mold levels have returned to normal background conditions.

EPA Mold Guidelines

Federal recommendations for mold cleanup and prevention published by the Environmental Protection Agency.

IICRC Standards

Industry standards for mold remediation and water damage restoration developed by the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification.
